Design your own start screen in windows 8 phone

One of the most innovative aspects of Windows Phone is the Start screen and the fact that you can easily create your own, unique Start screen. If you look on smartphones with Android and iOS, they tend to look very similar and most users don’t even bother to customize the way shortcuts and widgets are displayed. In Windows Phone, if you spend a bit of time to customize the Start screen, you can create some amazing designs that really stand out. To inspire you to create your own designs, we have published this collection of 8 designs. Check it out and share your own designs in the comments.

Start Screen Designs for Windows Phones with Smaller Resolutions

Note : The Problem You Will Face When Moving Tiles Around

The tiles on the Start screen can be arranged and rearranged however you want. You can change their size and also move them across the screen. While experimenting with several layouts and designs, we have learned that there is a downside to the way Windows Phone arranges your tiles: when moving tiles around, Windows Phone tends to automatically push your tiles upwards and align them. As a result, you cannot leave too much empty space between tiles, or they get rearranged automatically by the operating system. This can make your designs harder to create at first. However, after a bit of experimentation, you will get the hang of it.
